what people should understand is that we are living in times of tremendous changes .... one of the questions put to Mr. Zuckerberg was ...if he owns the FB Data... could he know if any other breach could happen or has happened in any other part of the world ? they only discussed situations in the US and UK ....

that question took me back in time to EU in the post sub prime crisis scene and when the cracks first started to appear .... no one can predict to a T how and when things could go wrong or what the future is all about ....

everything is evolving and needs Tinkering as and when issues come up ...

even if data is All encrypted ...if any one employee decided to play mischief ... could such a deviant mind do so ???

it also reminds me of one thing .... security Breaches with BPO's and Frauds with BPOs .... there were a few events when some employees of BPOs in India misused the highly confidential data with them to cheat people in America ....

a few rotten apples bought about so much ill will to the entire BPO industry ...

similarly due to Banks outsourcing part of the credit and debit card work to BPOs within India itself ...has led to stray incidents of employees misusing the data they have to fleece unsuspecting customers ...spl the funds in accounts of deceased individuals ....how macabre can such people be

and yes.. the most bizarre.. is the case in 2017 where the police busted a few gangs of young boys and girls who were being trained to cheat unsuspecting users of credit cards issued by banks and credit card companies ....in this category there is a plethora of variations of how scams are carried out ....in the Uttar Pradesh case the Police admitted to having just touched the Tip of the Iceberg .... they know those small devious schools coaching youngsters to carry out financial scams are thriving ... 

in a rapidly evolving... virtual parallel world... we All share ... data too is an element that can be traded to make money ...some of it legal ....like there are marketing companies in my city who collect data about consumers in rural areas and sell this data to FMCG companies... legal business ...good business
